Chiefs docked draft picks for tampering with 2015 free agent Jeremy Maclin

Andy Reid and the Chiefs have been hit hard with fines and will lose a pair of draft picks after the NFL ruled the team tampered with wide receiver Jeremy Maclin during the 2015 free agency period.

The Chiefs will be docked a third-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and a sixth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. On top of that, Reid has been fined $75,000, general manager John Dorsey was fined $25,000 and the team as a whole was fined $250,000.

Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt released a statement saying the team will appeal.
