The summer of 2019 was unlike any other in NBA history. Forty percent of the league’s players were free agents, including several superstars. In addition, nearly half of the league’s teams had cap space. That led to a summer of change we’ve never seen before. Ten signings and trades helped shape the 2019-20 season and beyond more than any others. With half of the NBA season behind us, it’s time to check in on how each of those moves is working out. We’re going to give each transaction a preliminary pass/fail grade for now and will check in again as the season comes to a close.
