Chase contender Austin Dillon confident despite move to back-up car at New Hampshire

Austin Dillon was already in a little bit of a hole when it came to the Chase for the Sprint Cup before he even got to New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Things got worse quickly on Friday.

Dillon, who is currently tied for 13th with Kevin Harvick in the Chase standings, crashed in the opening practice and will go to a backup car for Sunday’s Bad Boys Off Road 300. It is the second race of the Chase — after the third, the field will narrow from 16 to 12 drivers.
