Chase Burns allows Zyhir Hope, Kendall George homers before settling down, striking out 7

Cincinnati Reds top pitching prospect Chase Burns hadn't run into much trouble in his first two professional starts, striking out six in four shutout innings in his debut and striking out seven while allowing just one run in his second outing.

On Friday night against the Great Lakes Loons, Burns allowed first-inning home runs by Zyhir Hope and Kendall George, two of the Los Angeles Dodgers' top 15 prospects, according to MLB Pipeline.

Burns settled down after the first inning, striking out seven while allowing just the two hits in addition to two walks in four innings of work.
