This should be a banner time for Charlotte, Gov. McCrory. As a former popular mayor of the city, you probably know this. As a Charlotte native, I certainly do.
Let's start with sports. The Panthers went to the Super Bowl. The Hornets are fun again. The city’s minor league baseball stadium, voted the best around, feels almost like having major league ball right in the heart of uptown. And then the NBA, our city’s first sports love, picked us to host the 2017 All-Star Game.

Yes, governor, Charlotte has finally become all it — and we — ever wanted to be: a world class, big-league city with big-league credentials and, more importantly, big-league respect.
