Charley Hoffman recorded his fourth PGA Tour win Sunday after making a 10-foot birdie putt on the par-5 18th hole to win the Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio.
Patrick Reed had just made his birdie putt to finish the tournament at 11 under, leaving Hoffman with a nervy putt to avoid a playoff. Hoffman drained the putt to conquer the weekend demons that had plagued him all season and win the tournament at 12 under with a 3-under 69 on Sunday.
