Charles Barkley takes up Bettman’s invitation to Cup Final

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Charles Barkley has not hidden that the TV analyst is far more excited about the Stanley Cup playoffs than the NBA playoffs.

Thanks to a night off in the NBA Finals , Barkley took up NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman on his invitation to come watch the Stanley Cup Final in person.

”There’s nothing more nerve-wracking than Stanley Cup overtime hockey,” Barkley said. ”It’s the craziest thing you’re ever going to see, so that’s one reason I just love the sport.”

Barkley interrupted Wayne Gretzky and Paul Coffey talking about the 1984-85 Oilers being voted by NHL fans as the greatest team in league history.
