Charges against LSU defensive lineman Davon Godchaux in connection with a domestic abuse case involving him and his girlfriend have been dropped. Hillar Moore, district attorney for East Baton Rouge Parish, announced the decision Tuesday.
Godchaux was arrested early Sunday after a fight with the mother of his 10-month old child. The junior lineman was accused of grabbing his girlfriend twice and tossing her backward, resulting in a swollen lip and marks near her throat, a police report said. Police charged Godchaux with domestic battery/child endangerment and false imprisonment.

Moore said inconsistent statements to investigators and physical evidence at the scene led to a recommendation the charges be dismissed.
