Chargers' D.J. Fluker has no regrets on drawing unnecessary roughness penalty vs. Titans

San Diego right guard D.J. Fluker says he plans to appeal the $9,115 fine levied by the NFL for unnecessary roughness in last Sunday’s 43-35 win over Tennessee.

But even if he doesn’t win, Fluker has no regrets about the play that drew him the penalty.

Fluker was flagged when launching himself into a pile of Titans defenders who had stacked up Chargers running back Melvin Gordon on the Tennessee 4-yard line after a 10-yard gain. An animated Fluker argued with the game officials afterward to no avail.

“If I’ve got 10 guys on my running back, I’m not going to sit there and let him take all those hits,” Fuker told co-host Gil Brandt and Sporting News' Alex Marvez on Friday night on SiriusXM NFL Radio.
