SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Matt Chapman hit a pair of RBI doubles to back a strong start by Robbie Ray and the San Francisco Giants beat the Seattle Mariners 4-1 on Saturday night to extend their winning streak to six games.
Chapman, who received his fifth career Gold Glove Award from last season during a pregame ceremony, followed a double by Jung Hoo Lee with one of his own for a run in the fourth inning. The duo did the same thing in the fifth to give the Giants a 3-1 lead.
Ray (2-0) allowed one run and four hits in six innings for the Giants.
