The Boston Celtics, thanks to a huge return from Kristaps Porzingis, have jumped out in front early to kick off the NBA Finals.
The Celtics jumped out to a 63-42 halftime lead over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night at TD Garden. Though they’ve been dominant plenty of times so far in the postseason, the Celtics’ early run in the Finals was due largely to Porzingis’ return.
Porzingis missed Boston’s last 10 games with a calf injury he first sustained in their opening-round series against the Miami Heat.
