CC Sabathia's new strategy for staying sober may seem contradictory

CC Sabathia, whose 2015 season ended with a 30-day stint in rehab dealing with alcohol problems, says he’s going to try a different strategy to stay sober.

The Yankees left-hander told reporters Friday at the Yankees' spring training facility in Tampa that he plans to go out to nightclubs and restaurants with his teammates. For some, that might sound like a bad idea to avoid alcohol use, but Sabathia says his drinking problem arose when he avoided those social drinking situations.
