BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Orioles have become baseball’s patsies this season, entering Monday with a six-game losing streak and the worst record in the majors. And they are likely to get even worse if, or when, they deal their marquee talent — the impending free agent Manny Machado.
But you would not know it against the Yankees.
The Orioles peppered C. C. Sabathia, driving him from the game with a three-run home run by Danny Valencia in the sixth inning, which stood up as the game-winner in a 5-4 victory over the Yankees in the first game of a doubleheader on Monday.
