Casey Mears prefers not to talk about 2017, thank you, as he prepares to be a free agent driver this offseason.
For now, Mears is focused on driving the No. 13 car of Germain Racing. He'll do that this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.

Meanwhile, his car's sponsor said Friday it will honor its contract for next season. That word came during a media session to announce a partnership between the sponsor, insurance firm Geico, and Talladega, which has sold naming rights to its restart zone to the insurer.
