As the Philadelphia Eagles continue to prepare for Super Bowl LII, quarterback Carson Wentz is looking ahead to his return next season.
Wentz's year ended prematurely when he tore the ACL in his left knee during a Week 14 win over the Los Angeles Rams, but he anticipates being back for the Eagles' first game in 2018.
“I truly believe I’ll be ready for Week 1,” he said Friday, via Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Per Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News, Wentz confirmed he had surgery to repair his ACL and LCL.
