History is on Carson Wentz's side.
Of the four previous FCS quarterbacks selected in the first round of the NFL Draft, all of them — Doug Williams, Phil Simms, Steve McNair and Joe Flacco — went to the Super Bowl. All but McNair were named Super Bowl MVPs. Simms and McNair each were selected to at least one Pro Bowl.
The Eagles are only two games into the Wentz era, but the rookie from North Dakota State has led his team to a pair of wins.
Wentz was 21 of 34 with 190 yards and a touchdown in a 29-14 victory over the Bears on Monday night at Soldier Field in Chicago.
