Carson Pickett started Tuesday night as the United States women’s national team takes on Colombia in a final friendly match ahead of the Women’s World Cup/Olympic qualifying tournament.
With Pickett’s start, she becomes the first player with a limb difference to appear for the USWNT, according to U.S. Soccer.
Pickett, who was born without her left arm, is one of three players to take part in the friendly against Colombia is not on the final U.S. roster for upcoming Olympic qualifying.
Pickett, a defender for the NWSL’s Courage, was named as an alternate for the USWNT earlier in June.
