Good news for the Arizona Cardinals and their fans: Carson Palmer is out of the NFL's concussion protocol and has been cleared to return to practice.
Palmer suffered a concussion in Week 4 when his head hit the ground on a sack by the Rams' Aaron Donald and Eugene Sims. Palmer, 36, did not travel to San Francisco for the team's 33-21 victory over the 49ers Thursday.

Backup quarterback Drew Stanton completed only 11 of 28 passes for 124 yards in that game, although he had two touchdowns.
