Carmelo Anthony makes USA Olympic history, puts team on back in win over Australia

Carmelo Anthony was a part of the last United States men's basketball team to lose a game the Olympics, in 2004. He wasn't about to let it happen again in Rio.

Anthony led the U.S. to a 98-88 win over a tough Australian team Wednesday night, a victory that moved the Americans to 3-0 in group play.

The two teams entered the encounter yet to lose in the 2016 Olympics and finished the first quarter tied before Australia, whose roster features a number of NBA players, took a five-point lead into halftime. Things remained tight in the second half, but Anthony provided a spark with 14 points in the fourth quarter to extend Team USA's Olympic winning streak to 20 games.
