Carmelo Anthony was ejected Wednesday for hitting the Hawks' Thabo Sefolosha in the face. On Thursday, Anthony, somewhat confusingly, called out Sefolosha for flopping.
“I don’t think it was anything Sefolosha was doing as far as being overly physical or anything like that. It was just a battle, we were both trying to go for it. Got tangled up,” Anthony told reporters, per the New York Daily News. “He did his European and flopped a little bit.”
It's difficult to see where Sefolosha flopped, if at all. There certainly wasn't an overreaction on Sefolosha's part, especially considering Anthony had a hand around Sefolosha's neck to begin with, and Anthony seemed to catch Sefolosha square in the face with his fist, too.
