For the second year in a row, Arizona is headed for the playoffs. The Cardinals officially became the second NFL team to clinch a postseason berth after they beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-20 on Thursday night.
Getting to the playoffs two years in a row might not be a huge accomplishment for some teams, but it is in Arizona, where, before this year, it had only happened twice since 1970.
Before Carson Palmer came along, the last quarterback to lead the Cardinals to two straight postseason berths was Kurt Warner, which is fitting because Palmer broke one of Warner's team records during Thursday night's game.
