Cardinals starting pitcher Carlos Martinez returned to the team Saturday after leaving Friday when a civil lawsuit was filed against him by a woman in south Florida, according to the St. Louis Dispatch.
Martinez jettisoned off to Miami on Friday when the team gave him permission to leave.
"We wait. And once we learn more, then we’ll have more of an idea. These are things you just learn as you go," Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak told St. Louis reporters.
Mozeliak said he didn't want to speculate on the nature of the lawsuit.
Cardinals manager Mike Matheny remained hopeful Martinez, 4-0 with a 1.
