Cardinals enter draft contemplating life without Carson Palmer

INDIANAPOLIS — Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said the team is already talking about Year 1 A.C. — After Carson.

“We’ve talked about it a bunch,” Arians said Wednesday at the NFL Scouting Combine. “Whether or not we act on it, we’ll see.”

The Cardinals know they need to find Carson Palmer's replacement while the 36-year-old quarterback can still play, much like Green Bay did in 2005 by drafting California quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the first-round to replace Brett Favre. Rodgers has since been the NFL MVP twice and won a Super Bowl.
