Cardinals announce signings of 13 players from draft

ST. LOUIS — The Cardinals have agreed to minor league contracts with 13 picks from the 2017 MLB First-Year Player draft, the team announced Monday.

The highest pick to sign with the Cardinals was ninth-rounder Evan Kruczynski, a left-handed pitcher from East Carolina University.

Tenth-round pick Brett Seeburger, a left-handed pitcher, and 11th-rounder Evan Mendoza, an infielder, also agreed to terms with the Cardinals.

The Cardinals also agreed to contracts with RHP Jake Walsh (16th round), RHP Will Latcham (17th round), 2B Irving Lopez (19th round), OF Brandon Benson (20th round), RHP Evan Guillory (23rd round), RHP Thomas St.
