Canelo Alvarez defeated Gennady Golovkin by majority decision in their middleweight world title rematch Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Two judges scored it 115-113 for Alvarez, and the third judge scored it 114-114.
Alvarez claimed Golovkin's WBA and WBC titles as well as the lineal middleweight championship.
Alvarez (50-1-2, 34 KOs) and Golovkin (38-1-1, 34 KOs) fought to a controversial split draw in their first bout last September, on scores of 115-113 for Golovkin, 118-110 for Alvarez and 114-114.
