The Canadiens have agreed with recently acquired forward Andrew Shaw on a six-year contract, GM Marc Bergevin announced Monday.
The team didn't make public the terms of the deal, but TSN reported that it has an average annual value of $3.9 million, or $23.4 million over the six years.

Shaw — acquired Friday from the Blackhawks during the NHL draft for two second-round picks — scored 14 goals and had 34 points in 78 games last season.
