Empathy is defined as the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. And as just about any NFL fan will tell you, commissioner Roger Goodell doesn’t always seem understand them.
In response, Goodell is turning to virtual reality training at Stanford University's Virtual Human Interaction Lab.

"He came here to learn about empathy," Stanford professor Jeremy Bailenson told Recode.net. "He really wanted to understand how to think about issues of race, issues of gender.
