Paying tribute to his latest piece of hardware, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton took the field for pregame warm-ups before Super Bowl 50 on Sunday wearing gold "MVP" cleats.
The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Barker reported Jan. 27 that Newton would wear customized Under Armour cleats at some point Sunday if he was named the 2015 NFL MVP. On Saturday night, the Panthers star won the award in a landslide.
Sure enough, Newton on Sunday wore the special cleats, which featured his season stats.
Newton has made a habit of wearing customized cleats for pregame warm-ups, so there is no better way to wrap up the season than to wear this latest pair.
