Calvin Johnson Reportedly Paid Lions $1 Million of Signing Bonus After Retiring

Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson repaid the team at least $1 million of the signing bonus in his contract when he retired last year, far more than had been previously reported.

Carlos Monarrez of the Detroit Free Press reported the news. Previous NFLPA records showed Johnson had paid $320,000 of a potential $3.2 million the Lions could have required the three-time All-Pro pay.
