Bubba Watson escaped from the pack Sunday to win his second-career Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club.
Heading into the final round with a one-shot advantage, Watson quickly saw his lead evaporate when Adam Scott and Rory McIlroy eagled the first hole. But McIlroy faded, shooting a 4-over 75 to finish 6 under, and Scott struggled with short putts on the back nine.

With some of the top players moving backward, Watson found himself in a duel with Jason Kokrak throughout most of the back nine.
