Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has been impressed with new head coach Dave Canales after a tumultuous rookie season.
"Really, it's the consistency he has," Young said, per ESPN's David Newton. "He has a very calming presence. He's someone you can have a conversation with, talk with. Good, bad or indifferent, you can tell there's an emphasis on teaching. At times, of course, we're passionate. With coaches there's a lot of yelling, a lot of emotion."
After the Panthers wrapped up a dismal 2023 campaign that included the mid-season firing of former coach Frank Reich as well as a 2-15 record, the team hired Canales on Jan.
