Los Angeles is blue and gold for another year, as the UCLA Bruins clinched the 2016-2017 Crosstown Cup over rivals USC.
An annual award given to the school with the most head-to-head all-sports victories, the Crosstown Cup was secured by the Bruins following UCLA baseball’s road sweep of the Trojans in early May. The sweep gave UCLA a 105-85 advantage over USC and the requisite 100 points needed to clinch the cup.
“I’m so proud of the hard work and dedication it took from our student-athletes and coaches to help us win this year’s Crosstown Cup,” said UCLA Athletic Director Dan Guerrero.
