Bruce’s 2 RBIs help Mets take series by beating Marlins 6-3 (Jun 29, 2017)

MIAMI (AP) Jay Bruce had a pair of RBI hits and scored twice, and the New York Mets took the rubber game of their series against the Miami Marlins, winning 6-3 Thursday to finish 5-5 on a road trip that started badly.

T.J. Rivera had three hits and two RBIs, while Curtis Granderson scored twice and drove in a run.

Seth Lugo (3-1), making his fourth start of the year, allowed three runs, two earned, in six innings. Addison Reed, New York’s fourth pitcher, pitched around a leadoff single in the ninth to earn his 12th save.
