This explains why the Denver Broncos signed veteran long snapper Zach Triner right before the 2025 NFL draft.
Mitchell Fraboni, the team's incumbent long snapper who just signed a three-year extension this month, recently underwent a scheduled minor back procedure, according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis.
The Broncos knew about the procedure before they re-signed Fraboni, so it does not appear to be a long-term concern, but the long snapper will not be available for organized team activities this spring.
Fraboni is expected to recover in time for the start of training camp in July, but he won't be healthy in time for OTAs (May 27-29, June 3-5), and his status for mandatory minicamp (June 10-12) is uncertain.
