The Denver Broncos have picked up their fifth-year option on cornerback Patrick Surtain II's rookie contract, connecting him with the team through the 2025 season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The option will guarantee him a $19.8 million base salary.
Surtain joined the Broncos with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. He enjoyed a stellar career at Alabama before then, earning consensus All-American honors and winning a national title with the Crimson Tide in 2020.
The 6'2" cornerback made first-team All-Pro in 2022 and made the first of his two Pro Bowl teams in that year as well.
