Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson had his four-game suspension reduced to two games following a hearing.
The NFL initially suspended Jackson four games for continued violations of unnecessary roughness rules.
Jackson was ejected from Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers for a sideline hit on tight end Luke Musgrave.
Musgrave had just caught a pass from quarterback Jordan Love and was falling to the field when Jackson came in and hit him directly in the head/neck area as another Broncos player was closing in.
"On the play in question, you delivered a forceful blow to the head/neck area of a defenseless receiver, when you had the time and space to avoid such contact," vice president of football operations Jon Runyan wrote in a letter to Jackson, per ESPN.
