The 145th Open Championship will pay out a total of just over $8.5 million to the 81 golfers that made the cut at Royal Troon.

The winner's share of the purse is $1.5 million with second place taking in just under $900,000 as the Brexit decision's impact on the exchange rate between the pound and dollar decreased the amount golfers will make in American dollars.

Still, there is plenty of money to be distributed after the final round, along with the claret jug.
