Brian Scott didn’t look like a rookie on those final laps at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday.
The Richard Petty Motorsports driver started on the front row for the final restart in overtime in Sunday’s Hellmann’s 500, giving him a shot at his first career win. He went on to finish second, while teammate Aric Almirola was eighth.
It was a stellar outing for the pair, but particularly for Scott. The run not only was a career-best for him in Cup, but also was the first top-10 of his career.
