Tony Stewart and Brian Scott made contact late in the Bojangles Southern 500 to bring out the race’s third caution.
Stewart, who was on the lead lap and chasing his first Southern 500 win in his final run at Darlington Raceway, was initially attempting to move past the rookie driver, who was already several laps down, when he had to check up and back off when Scott’s car wobbled on the track.

Stewart then drove into the rear quarterpanel of Scott’s car, causing him to spin and bringing out the caution on Lap 204.
