Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien announced on Friday that the team is going to go with Brian Hoyer as their starting quarterback for their Week 6 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to the Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson.
Hoyer is being given the starting job over Ryan Mallett after their Thursday night loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Mallett, who was originally given the start, was 7-10 for 50 yards with an interception. In all six of his starts in the NFL, Mallett has thrown at least one interception.
