Brewers trade Cooper to Yankees for reliever Webb

The Milwaukee Brewers added a left-handed pitcher Thursday who could potentially boost their ailing bullpen, acquiring reliever Tyler Webb from the New York Yankees for Triple-A first baseman Garrett Cooper.

Webb was assigned to Triple-A but made his major-league debut last month and has appeared in seven games for the Yankees, including facing the Brewers twice last week, working six innings and allowing three earned runs on three hits.

A 10th-round pick in the 2013 amateur draft, Webb turns 27 next week and has had some success in Triple-A, where he has a 3.24 ERA and a 1.
