Brewers outfielder Rymer Liriano was released from an Arizona hospital Monday and felt good enough to stop by the team's complex a day after he sustained facial and nasal fractures when he was hit by a pitch.
"He was in great spirits," manager Craig Counsell said (via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel). "I think everybody was kind of blown away. He was smiling; laughed a little bit. He was in good spirits. It was great of him to come so everybody could say hi to him."

Counsel had visited Liriano, 24, in the hospital earlier Monday, less than 24 hours after the frightening incident at Maryvale Baseball Park in which Dodgers pitcher Matt West hit Liriano.
