CANTON, Ohio — It was Dec. 7, 1998. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were playing host to the two-time defending NFC champion Green Bay Packers led by three-time NFL MVP Brett Favre on “Monday Night Football.”
It was also the first NFL start for former Packers offensive lineman Joe Andruzzi. Lined up on the other side of Andruzzi for Green Bay’s first play from scrimmage was defensive tackle Warren Sapp.
“We got up to the line and Sapp looks up at Joe and says, ‘Joe, you picked the wrong night to make your first start,’” Favre recalled Sunday while getting into a three-point stance during the Enshrinees Gameday Roundtable at the Canton Civic Center.
