SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – Jordan-Rory. Rory-Jordan. Golf's future met golf's present in the second round of the PGA Championship Friday morning. It felt like match play. It wasn't.
Nonetheless, there was a clear winner. Jordan Spieth's magical run through the 2015 golf season isn't over just yet.
Spieth, playing in his first major as a 22-year-old, climbed close to the lead through morning play with a scintillating, five-under par 67 to reach 6-under halfway through the year's final major. He put himself squarely in the mix for a weekend run at what would be his third major title of the year, a rare feat indeed.
