Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronal Acuna left their matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday night after he was hit in the hand by a pitch.
Acuna, in the seventh inning at Truist Park, was hit by Phillies reliever Sam Coonrod’s nearly 98-mph pitch — the second straight pitch that had come inside.
Instantly, Acuna threw down his helmet and was clearly in pain.

Acuna left the game and did not return. X-rays on his hand came back negative, the team announced.
