Braves setting up parking scam at new Cobb County stadium

The Braves are shaking down private parking lot owners near their new Cobb County stadium set to open next year, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Deadspin.

The AJC reported last week that in February, Cobb County officials, at the request of the Braves, "quietly passed an ordinance that outlaws property owners within a half-mile of the stadium from charging for parking during games and other special events at the stadium." That means only the team can profit from parking, and since no public transportation will reach SunTrust Park, driving is really the only option.
