Brandon Aiyuk didn't start the 2024 season on a high note.
The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver struggled during the first half of the team's Week 1 clash with the New York Jets on Monday Night Football, hauling in one reception for 14 yards on four targets.
With the 49ers owning a 13-7 lead and attempting to score a touchdown just before halftime, Brock Purdy threw a pass to Aiyuk in the corner of the end zone. The ball hit the 26-year-old's hands, although he was unable to come down with it and San Francisco settled for a field goal.
