Turns out Crying Jordan was a thing even before his Hall of Fame speech.
If we're to believe Michael Jordan's former teammate Sam Perkins (and why wouldn't we?), 1984 U.S. Olympic men's basketball coach Bobby Knight made the legendary No. 23 cry. Speaking Tuesday on SiriusXM's "Above the Rim" show , Perkins explained how Knight was "pissed" after the team's close 78-67 quarterfinal win over Germany.
"Bobby Knight, he got after us," Perkins said. "He told Michael that's the worst he ever played. Now Michael's going to deny this, but he cried. He cried after the game, because of the fact that Bobby Knight told him, 'You should apologize to everybody in here.
