The Toronto Blue Jays have made another big post-lockout move, trading for third baseman Matt Chapman with the Oakland Athletics the team announced on Wednesday.
The A's will get a handful of highly touted prospects in return, highlighted by Gunnar Hoglund, a 2021 first-round pick and the Blue Jays' No. 4 prospect according to MLB Pipeline. Infielder Kevin Smith and left-handed pitchers Zach Logue and Kirby Snead are also part of the package.
Chapman, 28, is fresh off his third Gold Glove season in addition to 27 home runs, 72 RBIs and .
