The Buffalo Bills have signed head coach Sean McDermott to a contract extension.
The team announced the news Wednesday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the deal is for six years through the 2025 season.
“Sean’s leadership on and off the field has been nothing but genuine and transparent, qualities we appreciate as owners,” a statement from Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula reads. ... “We are happy to extend his contract and keep him in Western New York for many years to come.”
Newfound success in Buffalo under McDermott
McDermott joined the Bills as head coach in 2017 after eight seasons as a defensive coordinator with the Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles.
